Marriage

Dear Engaged Couple,

Congratulations on your decision to be married! The San Carlos Cathedral Parish Family and the entire Church rejoice with you and wish you God’s blessings as you prepare to celebrate this sacrament of God’s love.

Your wedding day marks the beginning of your married life together. You have found each other, you have taken the time to know each other, to grow in love for each other, and now you are ready to celebrate the sacrament of matrimony. Therefore, your wedding should be marked with words, gestures, and music that reflect your faith in God through Jesus Christ and your love for one another. Your wedding and your marriage belong to you. They also belong to Christ and the Church. When you come to the Church to be married, you are expressing your commitment to live as Catholic Christians accepting God’s call to live the vocation of marriage in faith and love. The community of the church will support you with its prayers for the rest of your life. It is the relationship of both you and the Church community that makes marriage in the Church very special and holy.

We hope the following information will assist you in your preparation for marriage and planning your wedding. Your wedding day is a very significant moment and celebration in your life. San Carlos Cathedral Parish Community wishes to support you and help you celebrate this joyous occasion.

Sincerely,

Fr. Peter Crivello & the San Carlos Cathedral Parish Staff
