Adult Confirmation
This sacramental ministry prepares adults who desire to celebrate the sacrament of Confirmation.
Altar Servers
This ministry helps to prepare both children and adults who have received their first Holy Communion who desire serve as acolytes for the celebration of Mass.
Care for Creation
Care for Creation is a San Carlos Parish ministry that invites all interested persons to consider practicing stewardship in all parts of their lives.
Catholic Daughters of the Americas
We are a non-profit, charitable group who embrace the principles of faith, patriotism, and the promotion of justice, equality and the advancement of human dignity for all people.
Children's Faith Formation
Our objective is to promote, impart and teach the Roman Catholic faith in accordance with Vatican II doctrines to children in San Carlos Cathedral Parish from infancy through 8th grade.
Christians in Commerce
The mission of this ministry is to bring Christ to the marketplace.
Eucharistic Ministers
This ministry helps to prepare all those who serve the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ to the worshipping assembly at the celebration of the Masses.
Eucharistic Ministers to the Homebound and Hospitalized
This ministry brings the Eucharist, the Word of God and the love of Christ to parishioners who are sick, homebound or hospitalized.
Evangelization & Stewardship Committee
This ministry invites the parish community to share their faith by proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus with their time, talent and treasure as a means of evangelization for others.
Festa Italia
Festa Italia is a charitable organization that promotes Italian heritage by honoring Santa Rosalia, the patron saint of fishermen, with a procession and festival, including a special Mass once a year.
Finance Council
The Finance Council advises the Pastor in fulfilling his responsibilities to administer the finances of the parish.
Helping Hands
This ministry invites parishioners who want to help by providing baked goods, serving at church socials and liturgical functions, and more.
Heritage Center & Docent Ministry
Docents will be pleased to give tours of the Chapel and grounds during the hours listed above, except when religious services are being held.
Hospitality/Ushers
This ministry serves at the weekend Masses by greeting worshippers as they arrive, overseeing the Presentation of the Gifts and directing the community during the Eucharist.
Italian Catholic Federation (ICF)

Knights of Columbus Monterey Council
The Monterey Council #1465 of The Knights of Columbus was formed on February 6, 1910 and is among the oldest councils in California. Many knights are involved with various ministries at San Carlos.
Legion of Mary
Legion of Mary is a lay apostolate combining Marian spirituality with active evangelization to the community by visiting the sick and homebound.
Liturgical Movement
This ministry enhances the liturgical services with movement and praise, especially at the Masses for the Jazz and Dixieland weekends, as well as the Christmas Vigil and the Easter Tridium celebrations.
Liturgy Planning Committee
Composed of chairpersons of the various liturgical ministries, this ministry plans and coordinates the celebration of all seasons and feast days in the liturgical year.
Loaves and Fishes
The mission of this ministry is to feed the homeless and care for those in need in our community.
Ministry of Consolation
This ministry has its purpose to ba a comforting presence to any parishioner upon the death of a loved one.
Ministry of the Word
This ministry prepares lectors to proclaim the Word of God at all liturgies in a manner that is clear, understandable and inspirational to the worshipping assembly.
MOMS: Ministry of Mothers Sharing
This ministry is specifically designed for mothers with young children ages 0-6 years old who gather together for prayer, support, networking, and learning opportunities.
Music Ministry
This ministry implements the liturgical/musical directive of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (full and conscious participation by parishioners in parish worship).
Our Lady of Guadalupe Society
The mission of this ministry is to celebrate the feast day of Our Lady of Guadalupe (December 12) with authentic Mexican traditions.
Parish Life Hospitality
This committee inspires the parish to develop a welcoming and hospitable spirit to all people in our parish and community.
Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (R.C.I.A)
This is a total parish faith formation process involving the priests and deacons, the worshipping assembly, catechists, liturgists, parish sponsors, and those who offer hospitality.
Salt and Light
San Carlos' social justice ministry, Salt and Light, promotes the values, principles and practices that lead us to actively live the social justice teachings of our faith.
San Carlos School
For over 100 years, San Carlos School has been providing superior quality Christian-based education for children in kindergarten through eighth grades.
Small Christian Communities
This ministry offers adults the opportunity to gather together in groups of 6-10 in homes to discuss their lives in light of the Gospel and to share their faith through prayer, friendship and Christian service.
St. Joseph's Society
The society holds an annual celebration in honor of St. Joseph (in March) that consists of a Mass and procession of the re-enactment of finding a place for Jesus to be born.
St. Therese: The Little Flower Fund
This ministry seeks to provide funds to maintain the plants, trees and seasonal flowers on the church grounds.
Take a Second Look: A Ministry for Returning Catholics
This ministry has its mission to invite and welcome any Catholic who desires to return to the Church.
Young Adults Ministry
This ministry is comprised of single or married people in their 20's and 30's who want to share and learn more about their Catholic faith through prayer, social events and community service.
Youth Ministry for Middle Graders, High School and Teen Confirmation
This ministry is committed to bringing awareness, invitation and empowerment to youth in the middle grades and in their high school years to live their lives as disciples of Jesus Christ.
