The Questions We Are Asking

San Carlos is preparing for the Parish Summit. We are still interviewing parishioners. From these interviews we will collect stories, wishes, and examples of best practices at San Carlos.

What follows are five questions that represent the focus of our inquiry. Several more optional questions may be offered.

Question 1
Reflect on your entire experience at San Carlos. Do you remember a time when you felt the most engaged, alive, and motivated? Who was involved? What did you do? How did it feel? What exactly happened?

Question 2
Can you describe in detail an experience at San Carlos when you felt warmly welcomed or felt cared for by our parish community? Where and when did this happen? Who was involved? What made it so memorable? How did it make you feel?

Question 3
Without being modest, what do you value most about yourself, the other parishioners and the staff at San Carlos? How do you all help make San Carlos the warm, welcoming and caring parish community that it is?

Question 4
What do you think are the key factors that hold us together as a parish community at San Carlos? Can you describe them?

Question 5
Pretend, for a moment, that you have awakened from a five-year sleep, and the spirit of San Carlos’ community is what you always dreamed it would be. What does it look like? What is different now? What might you have done to contribute to this renewal.
