SCC-Upcoming-Serra Events

Join us for several upcoming events related to the canonization of Fr. Serra. There will be a presentation on Thursday, September 17, even prayer on Monday, a special Mass of Thanksgiving on Wednesday, concluding with a walking pilgrimage from San Carlos to the Carmel Mission on Saturday. A New Light On Junipero Serra: Fact and Fiction presented by

  • Dr. Ruben Mendoza – Professor, Archeologist, Writer, and Photographer
  • Gregory Orfalea – Author of Journey to the Sun: Junipero Serra’s Dream and the Founding of California

Evening Prayer

  • Followed by a presentation on Fr. Serra by Tim McFadden, San Carlos Cathedral Docent
